Billund Air Center offers Instrument Rating IR(H)SE on one of our Bell 206L IFR certified helicopters
BAC has trained approximately 40 IR(H)SE students annually - coming from all over Europe. This has given us an extensive training expertise in the helicopter instrument rating.
The training is in full compliance with the requirements specified in JAR-FCL 2.205.
The courses start in the beginning of each month and take approximately 6 to 8 weeks.
An applicant for the IR(H)SE course must meet the following requirements:
- Valid JAR-CPL(H) certificate
(PPL(H) holders may be accepted, but are required to contact the school for further information)
- Valid IR or ATPL theory
- Valid medical certificate
- Valid radio telephone certificate with a minimum of level 4 in the English language
- Flight experience according to JAR-FCL 2.190 of no less than 50 hours cross-country flight time as pilot-in-command in helicopters or aeroplanes. 10 hours of the flight time must be in a helicopter. (Not applicable to applicants who have passed the CPL(H) integrated course).
The IR(H)SE course consists of the following:
- 20 hours flying our FNPT flight simulator
- 25 hours flying a Bell 206L helicopter
- 1.5 hours flying the skill test.
Pricing:
- The total price for the course including landing fees is DKK 237,350 (EUR 32,300), costs of extra hours and fees to the Danish Civil Aviation Authority (SLV) for the skill test are not included in the above mentioned price.
Non type rated applicants:
If you are not type rated on the Bell 206L helicopter an additional charge of DKK 40,000 (EUR 5,430) will be added to the price to cover the expense of a type rating consisting of:
- Technical course on one of our Bell 206L
- 5 hours flight training for the type rating.
